Here are some pictures from some of our wonderful Christmas celebrations. We had so much fun visiting with all sorts of family! Now that it's a new year, we've started classes again. Reagan is having fun at two different preschools and while she is occupied with her class, Marshall and I are taking an infant class for him, too! Marshall seems days from crawling and he tried his first "solid" foods today - and seemed to love it!

Marshall had his 4 month well check and he's growing nice and steady - just over 14 pounds. He's been showing more personality every day! He's rolled over both ways, grabs his toys, holds his head up, and is working on those raspberries! Reagan continues to be a good big sister keeping Marshall an ample supply of pacifiers, toys, and blankets.

I took a cute little video of Marshall's attempts at rolling over... of course about 5 minutes after the camera went off, he did it! He rolled back to front first at 3 1/2 months!

We're getting into the fall spirit! We've had recent trips to the pumpkin patch (with Jeff this time!), a visit to GG's house, pumpkin carving, a Halloween party (with more to come!), and lots of fun outdoors! Of course, we'll have a lot of fun tonight celebrating Jeff's birthday!!

We headed out to Bill's Berry Farm yesterday to check out the pumpkins, apples, and more. It was a little rainy that morning but it cleared up before we got there. The kids are both wearing their new Halloween gear but they had to bundle too much to see it. We picked so many apples that my hands were too full for a pumpkin... guess we'll have to go back with Jeff!

We are enjoying these waning days of summertime. Reagan had friends over this week to decorate sugar cookies... it turned into a frosting eating party but it was still fun. Why didn't I get out the camera?

Marshall seems to be getting bigger and more active by the day. He's started smiling real smiles and cooing but of course, not while we've got the camera rolling. He's awake more during the day and puts up well with all of his big sisters attention.

We started harvest on Friday night so Jeff is officially busy for the next few weeks. He's been a big help with these kids during my sleep deprived state as Marshall is still waking 2-3 times a night, so it's back to reality for me!

Early Days

So far we have been adjusting well as a family of four. Reagan continues to take every opportunity to help her brother with blankets, toys, kisses, and songs. The new phrase in our vocabulary is "Marshall needs a little break" :)

We have taken a couple of ventures to town recently and have even tried out the front pack. I think I can handle this! Luckily Marshall is a good car sleeper for those long rides. Reagan and I are anxious to start adding our social engagements back into our schedule soon.

We are excited to be home with our new addition. Reagan has been a wonderful big sister! She has been very generous with the hugs, kisses, and sharing her toys. Special thanks to Grammy, Nannie, and Grandpa for helping out with Reagan while we were in the hospital and upon our arrival home! Time for me to get a little sleep while Marshall is allowing for it!

We've had an eventful year so far in 2011! Jeff and I are excited to announce we are expecting a new baby on or about August 9th! We find out in mid March if it will be a little brother or sister for Reagan. Hopefully that means we'll pick up the pace on picture taking and updating the blog!

Merry Christmas! We had fun celebrating the holidays with friends and family. First we had a Christmas celebration with Candy and Rick, then Mike and Dawn, and finally with the Hansen's in Gig Harbor. We then ventured to Bend, OR for the New Year with Darrel and Adie! We didn't take as many pictures as we should have... but you can see we had fun.

Reagan quickly caught onto presents this year. Her new catch phrase? "pull, pull, pull," as she's ripping off the wrapping paper! She was very well behaved and a great trooper through all our travels and changes to her schedule.

Our little book worm was easily distracted by stories during gift opening time, but she got with the program soon enough!

This year sure has flown by quickly! I can't believe we're gearing up for Christmas already. We have been enjoying time indoors or bundled up lately.

Reagan likes to be covered with blankets, and this day she insisted on having one wrapped around her so we pinned it together and she wore it as a cape.

November and Thanksgiving

Reagan was sure excited to spend some time with her dad after harvest ended in early November! We took advantage of his first day off and headed to the park for some fun. Reagan loves slides!

Just this week, Reagan picked out her own outfit and brought it to me announcing "clothes" - they even match!
Reagan got her first real experience with snow. Glad I snapped a couple of pictures before the screaming started! Hopefully we'll have a snow bunny by springtime.

Well, if snow isn't any fun, we better play in the water instead!
Grandpa Mike set up some fun toys for Reagan's Thanksgiving visit. She loves listening to the "guitar" better known as the Elvis impersonating bear.

Halloween Weekend With Cousins in Colorado!

Reagan and I took a trip to Firestone, Colorado for a long Halloween weekend. Thanks so much for hosting Nate, Kate, Eric and Ryan!! We got to meet baby Ryan (7 weeks old) and have Reagan's first trick-or-treat experience with cousin Eric. We also enjoyed a trip to the zoo, story time at Eric's library, and a Halloween party also hosted by Aunt Kate. Reagan yelled "Eric! Nate!" all through the airport on the way to our gate after the trip. I'm pretty sure she had A BLAST!

The weekend before, we also went to a local farm to press cider. Yum!

Busy month! Jeff has been working hard with harvest so Reagan and I have found plenty to do this fall to keep ourselves entertained. Last week we made a trip to Country Mercantile and the pumpkin patch for a hay ride, pumpkin picking, and mini petting zoo. Then we made a trek to Everett to meet Reagan's new cousin Isaac, (Megan - I need to get those pictures!) and a trip to Mercer Island where we had a blast seeing some old friends and Reagan made herself quite at home. We also got to visit Nana and Grandpa while we were in town. Today, we headed back to the pumpkin patch, this time Bill's Berry Farm in Grandview for more pumpkin picking, hay rides, and apple picking - yum!

We headed to Richland today to see the unveiling of the restored "Mr. Elephant" slide in Howard Amon park. Reagan's Grammy (Candy) was a valuable member of the restoration effort so she invited Reagan to be one of the first to slide down the toy after the unveiling.

Reagan and I took a trip to Springdale, WA, outside of Spokane last week. We had a great time visiting with friends Hanni, Chris, and Eloise. They also had chickens, goats, turkeys, pigs, and geese. Why didn't I take more pictures?? The goats were the most entertaining so at least we got a couple shots of them.

The summer is winding down but we are gearing up for fall activities. We will start our toddler class through CBC, we're working on starting a Salsa dancing class for tots, and so excited to visit new arrivals Ryan and baby boy Friedenson both due in September!!

We were lucky to be joined by great friends last weekend on Case Inlet of the Puget Sound. Reagan got her first boat ride, Jeff finally got to taste a Big Bubba's Burger, and I got my first swim of the season (and second)! You can't beat clams, oysters, BBQ and good company! Thanks mom and dad for sharing your cabin and taking us boating!!

We had our third (and final) celebration for Reagan's first birthday last weekend at Candy and Rick's cabin by Bumping Lake. We had fun taking walks on by the river, making s'mores, and spending quality time with family.

Reagan is so lucky to have so much family to help her celebrate her birthday!! Today we had her second party (third coming next weekend!) with Mike and Dawn's side of the family. Hmmm... if the pattern holds, she's not going to be a cake lover (sorry Dawn) but she did enjoy the pizza and of course, the presents!! Reagan was also gracious and although she had to nap instead of swimming, her guests had a great time in the pool in her honor. Thanks for making her day special!!

Summer is finally here! We've been making a good effort to hit the pool for family swim time lately! Reagan loves splashing and "swimming" around with mom and dad. It's been in the high ninties lately, and the pool feels very good - so come on over for a dip with us!!

Fourth of July was a lot of fun, too. Jeff's cousin Katy and her family hosted a great party for the occasion. We left a little early (before dark) so we missed out on the fireworks, but still had a great time at the BBQ and visiting with family and friends.

Colorado vacation

We just returned home from a fun filled week in Colorado! We started the trip by celebrating Father's Day with my dad and Jeff. Then off to Dillon, CO for a week of hiking, swimming, dominoes, and time with family. We concluded our vacation at Nate and Kate's house (my brother) in Firestone, CO and had more fun playing... sorry we had to come home. Should we do it again next week?

Reagan's birthday was Father's Day this year so we chose to celebrate it a little belatedly during our vacation. We had to wait a couple of days as she was a little under the weather for the first part of our trip, but she rallied, and we got to see some smiles! Fortunately, we get to celebrate a little closer to home again with more family!

Memorial Day Weekend

Reagan and I took a trip over to the Puget Sound for the holiday weekend. We had a great time visiting with family in Grapeview, then headed to my parents house for a couple of days of extended vacation time.

Reagan is growing up so fast. Just a couple more weeks until her first birthday! She is expressing more personality every day. This weekend she said "peek-a-boo" and "arf arf arf" (the barking was while reading a book about dogs). She is climbing stairs, standing on her own, requesting books to read, waving goodbye, and just generally showing her fun and entertaining personality.

Wow, only one more month until Reagan's first birthday! She has learned some new skills recently. She is clicking her tongue, climbing stairs like a monkey, and now she is learning to use a spoon. Any chance she gets, she makes a mad dash towards Daddy's office door for a quick hello, and she chases Molly and Shorty around the house... Molly tolerates it, and Shorty runs for his life!

Happy Mother's Day!! We have been finding all sorts of excuses to get together with family lately! On May day we headed up to Yakima to spend time with Jeff's Grandma Jeanne and all of her grand kids. Jeff's cousin Lilly and her husband traveled all the way from England! My parents also came by for a visit last weekend, and we got to see them again for Mother's Day.

Reagan has been getting a lot more brave with her cruising skills lately and she will push anything that moves across the room. We hung out with Em's girls last week that are a little older than Reagan and walking. When those girls walked away from the coffee table, I thought Reagan was going to fall in line right behind them but she must have remembered that she can't walk yet because she scooted behind them instead.

We've been having so much fun! Reagan and I visited Nana and Grandpa last week in Gig Harbor and made a special trip to the Point Defiance Zoo! We got to see the Tiger, Asian Elephants, Lemurs, Leopards, Otter, aquarium animals, and more! I think Reagan's favorites were the Tiger, and the aquarium. It was my first time to see a seahorse. They are pretty cool.

Friday we helped to celebrate Grammy's (Candy's) birthday and got to visit with Ella, Megan, Ted and Great Grandma Jeanne. Saturday we had a bridal shower to welcome Crystal into the Andrews family. We're looking forward to your wedding in June!

On another note I participated in my first 5k since high school. It's nice to have a goal to motivate you to get out there and run. This was a small "Spring into Summer" run in Richland and I was first place for my age group! Due to some confusion (on my part) I'm not sure of my time, but I am sure that it was faster than I had expected to run. Yay!

Speaking of being on the move... guess who finally started scooting around? Reagan developed her own method of "crawling" this week. She also mastered sitting on her own from a lying position, and pulling herself to a standing position. Unfortunately, that means we're having some issues with lying down at bedtime!! We've all been a little tired lately. Now that I know what having a mobile baby entails, I'm not quite so sure I want her walking just yet!

We had such a great time celebrating Easter this year! After church, Reagan came home to find the Easter Bunny had left her a basket of goodies, then we headed to Grandpa Mike's house for an egg hunt and dinner with family. While Reagan slept through the actual egg hunt, she still got plenty of goodies in her basket, and we got to share a delicious prime rib dinner - thanks Mike!

This past Sunday we headed up to Yakima to visit with Reagan's Great Grandma Jeanne (GG) for a hike in Cowiche Canyon, followed by outdoor lunch at GG's house. We also got to see the bush she planted in Reagan's honor.

Where is the time going? Reagan turned 9 months old on the 20th! She is still not crawling... but seems to have found other means of mobility. She had her first fever last week but she was in remarkable spirits considering.

We have been enjoying the sunshine lately!! We've been working in the yard, started swimming lessons, and longer walks with the puppies. Reagan has 2 teeth now (both lower bottom) with no signs of any others any time soon. She is cruising around furniture with more skill every day. We've started to use her walker with a little assistance. Reagan is really enjoying her new found mobility!!

Watch out Tooth Fairy - Reagan got her first chomper!

We have been having so much fun with friends, family, and activities lately. She's taking real baths now and loves splashing and chasing around her little floating toys. Next week we're starting baby swimming lessons - I hope she likes them as much as the bath. She's also starting to play along with peek-a-boo and getting close to pulling herself up to a standing position.

We had our first sitting for professional photos this week and I think we got some good ones!

This week Reagan has worked on learning new skills like eating and using a sippy cup. She is enjoying most new foods but she's still working on the swallowing part... Today she tried oranges, yum! Her sippy cup doubles as the best toy in the world.

I took Reagan to story time at the Richland library on Wednesday. We got to meet some other kids of similar age. We learned about trains, planes, and had a fun time singing along during song time. We also had friends with 5 month old twin girls come for a visit and Reagan had a great time chattering to them and playing together.

Reagan enjoys being on her feet - I think she may skip crawling all together! We put together a couple of push toys that she got for Christmas and she isn't quite strong enough to stay up on her own but she is having fun hanging on and chewing on the handles at the very least! She's also "walking" with some help from dad. In the clip you can see how excited she is to be mobile!!

We took Reagan on her first vacation this past weekend to Bend, Oregon - and her first trip to the Deschutes Brewery. The snow didn't cooperate too well, but Jeff got in one good day on the slopes and we had a great food, games and a great vacation with Darrel and Adie. And yes, we are the reigning Cranium champs!

Jeff also did a wonderful job making my birthday special including cooking dinner and a cake - yum! Reagan is growing up so fast. She's sitting up well on her own now, practicing standing on her own, and now she's even clapping when she's happy!

We're finally starting to get back into that pre-holiday routine. Reagan and I have started a new class together so she's getting a chance to meet little kids her age and we get to learn fun new songs and arts and crafts. We're excited to take a little vacation to Bend, Oregon next weekend with some good friends!

Our family had a great holiday season! We are moved and settled into a new home (well, new to us!) and we're enjoying the extra space. We were fortunate enough to celebrate Christmas with many extended friends and family all over the state. Reagan had a great time opening her first gifts from Santa and visiting with her cousins. If it's going to be this cold, where's the snow?? We're still working on getting the house straightened out this week, but we're coming along. Reagan is adjusting well to the new house and we're getting back into a rhythm. We had a great week! Delicious prime rib dinner with good friends, some Wii Mario Brothers entertainment, lunch with Grammy and Poppie, and celebrated niece Kaydence's birthday. We're busy preparing for the upcoming holidays - so excited to get to spend more time with friends and family!

What a fun couple of weeks! Happy belated Thanksgiving. We traveled to the Gig Harbor and Woodinville to enjoy two Thanksgiving dinners. We got to eat a special turkey hand raised by my cousin and prepared in a delicious Tunisian style as well as all the fixings. When we got home we packed up and moved down the road into a more spacious home - thanks Granny and Pa!! We're "moved in" but still have a lot of organizing to do.

Reagan has been very busy! Last week we woke up to a new sound in the baby monitor. She always wakes up very happy but this day she discovered the joy of blowing raspberries. She is addicted and it's now her favorite happy sound. Then a few days later she rolled from her back to her tummy for the first time. The next morning she rolled from her tummy to her back! I have yet to get that action on video but I'm trying :) Yesterday we tried rice cereal again and she is now a solid food eater! She's been busy!

Reagan turned 5 months this past week! Reagan has been a big help as we prepare to move down the road. The new house is almost painted and we're excited for a little extra space and some storage room!

Reagan got to see her first snowflakes this week. It snowed lightly on Friday (the 13th!) and she got a quick glimpse as we headed for the car. Grammy and Poppie babysat that night so Jeff and I could enjoy dinner out with friends. Reagan is really getting the hang of her jumper but she's not cooperating when I get the video camera out! Maybe next week... Watch out Molly and Shorty, Reagan is trying to pet her pups!

Harvest is over!! Now Jeff can finally sleep through the night - and so does Reagan!! We're all enjoying more restful nights these days. She's also been enjoying tummy time a lot more and has discovered the joys of her feet. She's been playing more independently and interacting with her puppies, too!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween. Reagan dressed as a little tiger and we went to Grammy and Poppie's house for dinner to celebrate Jeff's birthday. No trick or treating this year! Jeff and I managed to carve our first pumpkin together this year and also enjoyed some tasty toasted pumpkin seeds. Hmmm... will we have to dress up next year?!

Reagan turned 4 months old this week! We had our 4 month doctor visit complete with shots and she was a trooper. She weighed in at 12 lbs, 13 oz and 26 inches! We tried our first solid foods but maybe we're not quite ready for that...

We had a fun trip to the pumpkin patch on Friday with Em, Katy, Mary, and a combined 10 kids! There was a corn maze, a hay bale maze, petting zoo, and most importantly, pumpkins! Reagan did her best to participate where she could! It was a lot of fun to watch the older kids have a great time! Thanks for the pictures, Em!!

It's getting cold over here!! We're experimenting with the best way to bundle Reagan so we can still go outside. We had a lot of visitors this week. College friends and family came through our area and enjoyed vineyard tours, visiting with Reagan, and BBQ - and we had a lot of fun hosting. We also had a lot of fun in the vineyard watching the first annual Coyote Canyon Grape Stomp! Maybe I'll track down a picture of the festivities to post soon. Reagan was all smiles throughout the festivities!

We had another great week! Reagan and I participated in our second meeting with our local moms group and made some new friends. Grammy and Poppie babysat Reagan so that Jeff and I could enjoy a night out with friends, and last night we found out that Reagan does not sleep well during wind storms!

Another fun week for the Andrews! Cousin Ella visited with Megan and Ted. Ella showed Reagan ("Baby") the ropes at Grammy and Poppie's house for brunch. Reagan celebrated 3 months today! We had a busy week. Reagan and I visited Nana and Grandpa in Gig Harbor, where we also got to meet new cousin Freyja and visit with lots of family. Saturday we enjoyed an indoor BBQ (thanks to the wind) with Em, Chad and Jen and Andy. Sunday we celebrated birthdays with Uncle Mac, Uncle Matt, and Aunt Michaela and got to visit with more family! Next weekend we are excited to see Aunt Megan, Uncle Ted, Ella, and Grammy and Poppie!!

Reagan accomplished a lot this week. She figured out how those little hands work. She was able to grab a rattle on her bouncer and hold onto her pacifier. We also enjoyed family walks, tummy time, and of course, practicing those fine motor skills!

This past week Reagan got to go outside a little more with the cooler weather. We also got to practice tummy time, and spend time with friends. We took Reagan to a friends house for dinner and she did fairly well. We also had friends over and she was a perfect hostess. Tomorrow we get to picnic at Grammy's cabin on White Pass. We sure had fun this past week! Jeff and I took Reagan on her first vacation. We spent a week on the Puget Sound enjoying the sun, water, and friends and family. Thanks for hosting Mom and Dad! We're already looking forward to doing it all over again next year. Most importantly, Kyle Busch came out of his slump and won a Cup race Saturday night! I'll take a repeat performance of that again next year, too.

Another eventful week. Reagan tried out her Rainforest playmat (thanks cousin Ella!) and enjoyed herself by staring at the giraffe and wiggling around free. Since it has cooled down around here we've been able to take more family walks lately, although those seem to turn into nap time fairly quickly... She is also starting to become more interactive with rattle toys and bright colors/lights. Finally, we got to celebrate cousin Ella's birthday during 2 parties with family this weekend. I think all that celebrating really tired her out :)

Another big week for Reagan! On Tuesday she weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz. and has gained 10 oz each of the last 2 weeks - right on track for her age. We also had our first trip to church, first trip to the farmers market, and a visit from Grandpa Eric.

Reagan week 5

We had a big week this week. Reagan celebrated her first month, experienced her first bath, tried out some tummy time, and we had Darrel and Adie visit for dinner. Reagan is still a good sleeper but she is getting more vocal and observant every day.

We had a big week this week. Reagan finally lost her umbilical cord on Friday. That means she will get her first real bath today!! We also had a lot of visitors this week. We had an overnight visit from Nana Hansen on Tuesday through Thursday, spent Saturday afternoon and lunch with Grammy and Poppy, and Emily and Chad brought their girls over for a BBQ on Friday night.

Reagan week 3

This was a big week for Reagan. We celebrated 4th of July with family but Reagan slept through the entire event. She never even made it out of the carrier so you can hardly see her festive Independence Day onesie. She is starting to smile but we have yet to capture it on film... this is as close as we have been.

Reagan is two weeks old today. We plan to celebrate with fireworks tonight (4th of July!). She's been awake a little more often this week, but she continues her laid back attitude except when it comes to changing her diaper... We had our first doctor's appointment where we found out that she is 20.5" instead of the 18.5" we were told at the hospital. This seems a little more likely given her family genes. Eye color is still a mystery - we'll keep you updated.
